Tomás Barreiro

Tomás Barreiro (Ciudad de México, 1976), is a composer and guitar player from Mexico. He completed a master’s degree in guitar performance at the San Francisco Conservatory, where he received the Honor Award for outstanding students. Tomás Barreiro is a composer active in film, concert music, theater, advertising and other music for media; his portfolio has allowed him to win different awards and nominations, including the Ariel Award, the Phoenix Award, the “Sayat Nova” International Composition Award and the Toru Takemitsu Composition Award, in 2008, having Steve Reich as the jury, as well at showing his work at Berlinale, the Toronto Film Festival and the Chicago Film Festival.
