The Festival PAAX GNP is an Impossible Festival. It is called so because it brings together a series of extraordinary qualities that, at first glance, seem impossible to coincide: Renowned international soloists are part of the Impossible Orchestra, the orchestra in residence at the Festival PAAX GNP. In addition, the festival presents an extraordinary musical program composed of three series: the Main Series, the Darkside Series, and Chamber Music. Ballet galas showcase rising dance stars and a splendid selection of choreographies under the direction of Christopher Wheeldon, one of the most distinguished choreographers of our time. Armonía Social is an orchestral music education program for children and young people from the region (Yucatán, Campeche, and Quintana Roo), aimed at creating regional orchestras and shaping the future generation of Mexican musicians. The finest food and beverages in Mexico, in a luxury all-fun inclusive hotel. All of this, in the paradise of the Mexican Caribbean Sea.
Its artistic director, Alondra de la Parra, has worked for many years to make it possible, and thanks to her perseverance, vision, and GNP Seguros, the Festival PAAX GNP first came to life in 2022, and it is here to stay. In 2026, we will once again have Alondra de la Parra as artistic and orchestra director, the Impossible Orchestra with the world’s finest musicians, principal dancers from the Royal Ballet, and Christopher Wheeldon as choreographer in residence. For the first time this year, we will feature the Orquesta y Coros de la Comunidad de Madrid (ORCAM). For 10 days, your senses will be immersed in the most beautiful experiences the world has to offer. Your ears will hear the finest music. Your palate will taste the best cuisine in Mexico. Nowhere else in the world can all of this come together in such an extraordinary and unique way. This is the FESTIVAL PAAX GNP. A sonic ritual for renewal begins.
