Serena Sáenz

Barcelona-born soprano Serena Sáenz, a triple prizewinner at Operalia 2022, has established herself as one of the most prominent lyric coloraturas of her generation. A regular guest at the Vienna State Opera, the Staatsoper Berlin, the Bavarian State Opera, and the Gran Teatre del Liceu, she has performed technically and theatrically demanding roles such as Lucia, Gilda, Zerbinetta, the Queen of the Night, Konstanze, Susanna, Marie, Norina, and Pamina, confidently spanning Mozart, bel canto, and Strauss. She has made her debut at Teatro alla Scala and in the United States. Her repertoire also includes symphonic and Baroque works. In 2025, she released her album BIRDS (EuroArts), dedicated to coloratura repertoire.
